Posted September 24, 2018 12:16:31The final season of NBC’s hit show “Catch Us If YouCan” has been renewed for a fourth season, according to a press release from NBCUniversal.
The news was first reported by Deadline.
The renewal comes as “Caught Us If We Can” is on its third season on NBC.
The show premiered in 2015 and ran for three seasons.
Season three ended with the season finale, which featured a cameo by comedian Amy Schumer and the announcement that the show would return to its roots as a comedy.
In the press release, NBCUniversal President of Entertainment Andrew Lack noted the show had a huge fan base and that it would have a great season four.
The announcement came at the start of a press conference in Los Angeles where Lack announced that “Catching Us If…” would have its own standalone season on “NBC.”
He also hinted that the series would not be returning to the NBCUniversal network.
The series will not be on NBCUniversal’s network, but will air on Comedy Central.
In a series of tweets, Lack said that he has talked to many “Catched Us If” fans, and that the network is excited about the series returning to its beloved format.
“We know you love the show and it is one of our top priorities to bring it back,” Lack wrote.
“We also know that we have a loyal following of ‘Catched If…’ fans who would love to see more episodes of ‘It’s a Catch-22’ and we are excited to have the opportunity to bring that fan base back.”
The announcement follows an extensive social media campaign aimed at fans of the series.
